Sorrel Urban Bistro was named a ‘Top 10 Best New Restaurant in America’ by Gayot and ‘Diner’s Choice Winner 2012 by CitySearch.
Chef Soren Pedersen, partner in Sorrel Urban Bistro, is serving lunch and dinner for Houston Restaurant Weeks. Some of the dishes on his menus include fried oyster and squash blossom salad, seared New York strip on sweet potato gratin and whiskey with Dijon pan jus, and Texas melon and sweet basil granité. Chef Pedersen shows food radio talk show host Cleverley Stone how to make a dish from his menu.
Houston Restaurant Weeks takes place from Aug. 1 through Aug. 31, 2012.
Sorrel Urban Bistro will donate $3 from each Houston Restaurant Weeks lunch and $5 from each Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner sold to the Houston Food Bank.
