Popular Houston Heights restaurant cuisine benefiting Houston Food Bank

Glass Wall The Restaurant owner Shepard Ross and executive chef Jorge Rodriguez are cooking with purpose by participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks, benefiting the Houston Food Bank.

Ross, a trained sommelier, has also created some interesting wine pairings to go along with Rodriguez’s dishes like a local tomato salad, 8th Wonder Beef Short Rib and Cherry Cordial & Chocolate Bread Pudding. Ross willl donate $1 to the Houston Food Bank for each wine glass pairing sold during the month-long event. Chef Rodriguez shows food radio talk show host Cleverley Stone how to make his Corn Flake Crusted Chicken Fried Steak and Ross shares his wine pairings.

Houston Restaurant Weeks takes place from August 1 through August 31, 2012.
Glass Wall The Restaurant will donate $5 from each Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner sold to the Houston Food Bank.

Founded in 1982, the Houston Food Bank, is a certified member of Feeding America, the nation’s food bank network.
The organization plans to grow to an annual distribution of 100 million nutritious meals by 2018.
