Mike Shine, owner of Frank’s Chop House, and chef Alberto Estrada, show food radio talk show host Cleverley Stone how to brine and cook a pork chop. The 16 ounce chop, served with corn mashed potatoes and fresh spinach, is just one of the popular items on Frank’s menu for Houston Restaurant Weeks, benefiting the Houston Food Bank. Frank’s Chop House will continue the charity dining event through Labor Day, Sept. 3, 2012.
Frank’s Chop House offers a three-course dinner for $35 per person during Houston Restaurant Weeks and they will donate $5 from the proceeds to the Houston Food Bank for each dinner sold. The Houston Food Bank will convert the $5 into 15 meals for a Houston-area resident who is food insecure. Diners can make a $10 donation to the food bank by texting HRW to 20222. (Message & data rates may apply and all purchases must be authorized by the account holder.
